Makhsusa's story

Makhsusa lives in the city of Isfara. She is 46 years old, married, and has a large family. She has 5 children. Her husband is currently employed as a migrant worker in a foreign country. She and 3 of her daughters live together, while her 2 eldest daughters are married and live separately. Makhsusa is a seamstress, and for the past 4 years, she has been providing sewing services out of her home. She has a room where she accepts orders and does sewing and embroidering. She sews dresses both in local traditional styles as well as European ones. She also teaches her daughters how to sew. Makhsusa is seeking a loan to purchase several types of solid-coloured materials and fabrics from which to sew dresses for sale. She wants to teach her children sewing skills so that in the future they can work independently as professional seamstresses.
