A loan of $625 helped to buy two motorcycle washers.

Eufrosina's story

Eufrosina, 65, lives in Arjona, a city in Bolívar department, where she runs a motorcycle rental service. She started the business five years ago when she noticed that the numbers of motorcycles in the area had increased. Her main clients are motorcycle owners who offer transport service in Arjona. She offers them wash and wax service form 6 a.m. until 9 p.m.

She previously received a loan from Fundación Mario Santo Domingo, which helped her increase her client base. She now wants to buy two more washing machines, but she lacks the capital to do so. She has applied for a Kiva loan to buy the equipment she needs to meet her goal to increase her income, to balance the accounts, and to effectively manage the business. Eufrosina employs two people to wash the motorcycles, and they earn 50% of the profit they produce daily.
