A loan of $825 helped to buy calves for fattening.

Carmenza De Los Angeles's story

Carmenza is 40 years old, a humble farmer from the San Lorenzo region. She is single, the mother of eight children, and of the eight children, only two are going to school and the others work. Carmenza has been growing corn and beans for 25 years. She started her farming at a young age, helping her parents with the sowing. Little by little she acquired experience, and that was how she decided to follow the same livelihood. Through much effort and hard work she has her cows, which she has been buying little by little with the earnings that her harvest generates. In all her farmwork she pays for laborers who help her. She sells her corn and bean harvest right there in the community where she lives. She has the support of her entire family and receives other income through the sale of her animals. Her hope is to continue striving to move forward with her farming. She is requesting a loan in order to buy fattening calves, with the aim of buying more animals to obtain better earnings. Her future plans include being able to buy more land so that she can expand the property where she has her animals and her crop.
