Sonia's story

Sonia, who is 41, is a native of the district of Ceiba, in Teustepe. She is married and is the mother of five children. She is a businesswoman. She works in the grocery and food-selling business, where she has been the proprietor of a business for more than one year.

She began her little business with her own capital, money that she had saved, since with much effort and hard work, she and her husband started out selling and delivering quarry stone for construction. With the earnings that this business generated for her, she was able to set up the grocery store and the sale of food. She feels very good because this business generates daily earnings for her. She receives help from her children. She sells her products in the same community where she lives. One of her expectations is to expand her business.

Sonia is applying for the loan to buy rice, sugar, oil, soap, soft drinks, chicken, etc., with the goal of stocking her inventory of food products and improving her sales to obtain earnings that will allow her to continue investing in her business in order to grow.
