A loan helped a member to buy clothing to sell.

Ufunuo Group's story

Anita is in her early 30s and is a single woman with one kid who attends school. Since 2008, she has run a business selling clothing. Anita works four hours each day and is able to make a good monthly profit and provide for her family's daily needs. She will share her loan with her loan group, "Ufunuo," which has ten members who will hold each other accountable for repaying the loan.

Anita is requesting a loan to buy more clothing to sell. This will be her fourth loan request from Tujijenge Tanzania. Anita successfully repaid her previous loans that she used to restock her store and buy new clothing brand. She has been able to use the profit from her previous loans to buy a plot of land, make some bricks to prepare for building a house, cover her home expenses, and pay school fees. In the future, Anita dreams of expanding her business and building a nice family house.
