Carmen Soledad's story

Carmen is part of the "Las Toquilleras" communal bank. This is her second loan She started with the loans thanks to a friend who invited her, and has now formed even closer bonds of friendship with all her friends and fellow members.

She lives in the Sigsig canton, a place which enjoys natural beauty as it is surrounded by various mountains and green fields. Its architecture is a mix of the old and the modern. Its people are kind, friendly, with big hearts, and still maintain their culture and traditions.

Carmen is 30 years old, married and has two children ages 7 and 3. Her eldest daughter goes to a local primary school. Her husband works in the family business, which is a car wash. They do not have their own home, so they rent.

Carmen works with her husband in the family business, which is a car wash and oil change service. They have had this business for four years and at the moment it is going very well. She likes this work because she has time to look after her family. She's going to use her loan to buy oil, brake fluid and auto polish. Her goal is to see her business grow, and in future offer her customers more services.
