A loan of $925 helped to buy sewing materials to make clothing.

Yeny Estela's story

Yeny is 33 years old. She is a single mother. She has five children and lives in a village in the township of Choloma. Ten years ago Yeny established her own business, where she makes pants, skirts, dresses, and outfits for every occasion. She has invested a number of loans in her business to keep it stable. Now she is applying for a loan for 18,000 lempiras, with which she is going to buy sewing materials such as fabrics, threads, lace, zippers, buttons, etc, to make clothing and fill the orders that customers have placed with her. She is also going to utilize part of the loan to repair the roof of her house, since she has problems when it rains. Her plan is to continue working to help her children with their studies and to manage to establish the workshop in a better location.
