A loan of $2,125 helped a member to buy beverages, milk, baked goods, meats, and more.

Kuña Aty Group's story

The communal bank Kuña Aty is in its first loan cycle with the women's program. The members are indigenous women who work and help each other get ahead. All the members live below the poverty line, according to the poverty reduction survey they took, and, therefore, are striving extra hard to make progress.

The survey showed that Ambrocia, one of the members, lived at poverty level one. She has a small store where she works very hard, and she wants to keep doing so. So she has applied for a loan to buy beverages, milk, baked goods, meats, and more so that she can keep selling the items her customers need.

In this group: Ambrocia, Santa, Tomasa, Mirian, Ramona, Pabla, Pablina, Agustina*, Santa, María, Nélida, Antonia, Liz, Luisa, Pabla*
