A loan of $250 helped to buy watermelons, papayas, and coconuts, among other fruits and vegetables.

Rubén Josue's story

Rubén Josué is a 32-year-old youth and father to three children. He is the owner of a fruit and vegetable business situated in a specific place in the city of Chinandega, the city where he lives. He began this economic activity when he was 15 years old. From very young he saw himself as obligated to work since he comes from a family of scarce economic resources. He has been able to go on thanks to his entrepreneurial spirit because, apart from his fruit and vegetable business, he also has been able to establish a commercial tricycle business with which he provides transportation services throughout the city.

He is applying for this loan to invest in the capital of his business and supply his merchandise with the purchase of vegetables and fruits like watermelons, papayas, coconuts, pipián squash, pumpkin, chayote, plantains, oranges, guava, passion fruit, and lemons. In this way he will take advantage of the Holy Week season when his sales and usefulness increase.
