A loan of $1,500 helped purchase agricultural supplies, pay the lease on the land where he plans to grow, and prepare the ground to plant 21,000 square meters of corn.

Francisco Octavio's story

Francisco is 53 years old, married and has three children. Taught by his uncle, he has been involved in the cultivation of corn since he was very little. He worked alongside his cousins and brother, and after some time, he married at the age of 30 and began working harder for his children and wife.

He purchases the supplies he needs to farm in a city located two kilometers from his house. In order to transport the supplies, he pays for them to be delivered to his home. The loan he has applied for from Fundacion Campo is to purchase agricultural supplies, pay the lease for the land he will grow on, and prepare the ground to plant 21,000 square meters of corn. With this investment, he will be able to plant more and obtain a better harvest to increase his earnings and be able to pay his children's college tuition.
