A loan of $475 helped to stock his business with more grocery products.

Barkat's story

Barkat is a 27-year-old single man who lives in Taiz, Yemen. He started a small café business, and when he accumulated an amount of money, he thought to open a small grocery store.

He is a hardworking man who strives to offer his family a good life. Many people prefer his grocery store because he always has the basic staples at accessible prices, and he provides the best possible customer service. His dream is to see his store flourish.

Recently, he couldn't restock his business due to the lack of money, which is why he is asking for a youth loan of 100,000 YER (Yemen rials) from AMB to stock his business with more grocery products so that his customers will always find what they need and keep coming back.
