Henriette's story

Henriette is part of the group Bikorwavyimana and is one of the victims of the fire in the central market of Bujumbura. She has been a client of Turame since 2007. She lives in Bujumbura. She is a widow with 4 children aged from 5 to 18 years old.

She was a shopkeeper selling foods (manioc, bananas, sweet potatoes...) at the central market in Bujumbura. She lost merchandise valued at 1,500,000 FBU (961,55$) in the fire.

With the Kiva loan that she receives, she is going to reconstitute her capital by buying food products (manioc, bananas, sweet potatoes...) to resell to continue to make a living.
