René Gana is a young taxi driver who lives a few kilometres from the UIMCEC branch. He is married and the father of 2 children, and has been working in the transportation sector for 2 years. He owns a taxi "clando" (local private car used for public transport) which he runs between Thiès and Fandène. He is requesting a loan of 150 000 francs in order to buy an engine so that he can fix his car. He will use part of the revenues he earns thanks to this loan to build his savings and will use the rest to take care of his household's daily expenditures. He has one goal, and that is to buy another vehicle so that he can maximise his profits.
