A loan of $1,375 helped to buy two dairy cows.

Guillermo León's story

Guillermo is 36 years old. He is from the countryside and, since his youth, he has made a living working in agriculture and with livestock. Due to a lack of money in his family, Guillermo could not get an education and so has been working the fields since he was an adolescent. After his parents died, Guillermo was made responsible for the home and his twelve siblings.
Thanks to his effort and self-discipline, he managed to help his family progress and he built a home with his wife and five-year-old son. Guillermo currently makes a living growing fruits, fattening chickens and producing milk. This work provides an income for his family and his children's education.
Guillermo is currently applying for a loan that he will use to buy two dairy cows. This will allow him to increase his production capacity and his household income.
Guillermo's biggest dream is to buy the rights to the land he lives on from his siblings, so that he can leave it to his own family.
