A loan of $1,000 helped to purchase oil, pasta, bread, cookies and sodas.

Maria De La Paz's story

María has her own store where she sells staple home products, and she also raises pigs and poultry. She is dedicated to her work, and is married with four children ages 4, 7, 10, and 14 who are all studying in school. María has no relatives abroad.

María runs her store at home from morning to evening, depending on customer demand. She started her business to improve her income, and has an advantage that she does not have any competition in her neighborhood. María requires this loan to invest in basic food items to expand her stock, such as oil, pasta, bread, cookies, and sodas.

This investment will help María to keep her store well stocked, giving her more opportunities to increase her profits. Her dream is to invest more in order to build a large and profitable business that generates more income. She wants to contribute to her children's schooling and give them a better education, good nutrition and optimize the quality of life for her family.
