A loan of $700 helped to buy cattle for fattening.

Marina Abigail's story

Marina raises cattle and pigs. She lives with her husband and her two children, who are 13 and 14 years old. Both are studying and depend on her. She inherited this occupation from her parents and now works at it with her life companion. She has the advantage that she owns her own pasture land, which she uses to sustain her cattle; she has been doing this for 22 years.

She will invest the loan that she needs in the purchase of cattle for fattening, because at the moment she has enough hay to maintain them. This will allow her to feed her herd and grow it. The risks to which she is most vulnerable in this business are sudden changes in the price of cattle, and also possible diseases that could affect her herd.

Her goal is to earn more so that she can grow her business. This will allow her to generate more income and improve her family’s living conditions.
