A loan of $725 helped to buy seed (bean and potato), to buy chemical fertilizer, and agrochemicals.

Casiano's story

Casiano is 35 years old, married, and has two dependent children. He comes from a family of few means and he lives in a rustic home with adobe walls whose interior is plastered with clay. In the area where he lives, the soil has very low fertility. He shares his life with his closest relatives, such as his sister and nephews, who help him with his farming when they can. Because of the torrential rains in the month of February, his corn and carrot plantings suffered flooding, which has caused him considerable losses in his crops and a negative yield. Because of this, Casiano's financial stability has been thrown off balance, which has directly affected his ability to acquire the materials and supplies he needs for planting. To remedy the aforementioned, he is asking for a loan to buy bean seed, to buy potato seed, and to buy chemical fertilizer and agrochemicals. The goal of this loan is to improve his yield and get back on the road to prosperity. He also tells us he will expand his farming frontier by diversifying his crops.
