A loan of $600 helped to buy corn, firewood, beans, gas, etc.

Delia Delvie's story

Delia is thirty-eight years old. She is a humble tradeswoman and a housewife, despite not having completed her studies as she would have wished. She is a very hardworking person with a desire to move ahead. She is originally from Siuna Rosita, but she currently lives in Managua. She only completed high school. She is the proud mother of three children, ages 9, 10, and 14, and they are all currently in school.

She is a tradeswoman and has made a living in making and selling tortillas for eight years. She began this business with her own capital; she used the money she had saved. This is her first business, and she feels very satisfied with it because she makes profits every day and has regular customers. In addition to selling tortillas, she also sells beans in order to generate additional income. She counts on the support of her husband and children. She also receives extra income from other activities, like phone recharge services.

Delia is requesting this financing in order to buy corn, firewood, beans, gas, etc. She believes that this loan will help her to buy all of the raw materials that she needs to make her tortillas and to satisfy the needs of her customers.

Her future plans include growing her business in order to obtain higher profits.
