A loan of $1,500 helped to buy a stationary motor for carpentry, a wood shaper, and diesel.

Oscar's story

Oscar, 36, lives with his wife and has five children under the age of 18. Four of them are studying at a school in the community. His home is located in Ticucha canton, Muyupampa municipality, Cumandayti community. Oscar's main job is making furniture like cots, tables, chairs, benches, and wardrobes. He makes them in his small carpentry workshop with stationary motors that he has, given that there is no electricity in their area. He works hard to support his children who are studying so that they can continue their secondary education and have a better life. He is asking for a loan to buy a stationary motor, a wood shaper, and gas so that he can build the furniture. This way, he can increase his income which will help them cover the cost of their children's education.
