A loan of $575 helped replenish her capital by buying food (sweet potatoes, taro, bananas, ...) for resale, to continue to earn a living.

Pascasie's story

Pascasie is part of the Dukoreneza group and is one of the victims of the fire at the central market in Bujumbura. She has been a Turame client since 2005.

She lives in Bujumbura. She is married to Berchmans with whom she had seven children aged 7 to 27 years.

She was a vendor of food products (sweet potatoes, taro, bananas,...) at the central market in Bujumbura. She lost goods worth 5,000,000 FBU ($ 3,194.39) due to the fire.

She wants to build her own house, but that project has been stopped.

With the KIVA credit loan obtained, she will replenish her capital by buying food (sweet potatoes, taro, bananas, ...) for resale, to continue to earn a living.
