Mr. Khat C., 33, is a widower and lives with his only child in Prey Veng province, Cambodia. He is a truck driver and his truck is used to transfer a large amount of soil from place to place. Since 2003 he has been in the business of selling soil by using a big truck. On average, he makes USD $5 per day.
Currently Mr. Khat is earning less profit because his truck is too old and uses a lot of gas. He wants to replace the old and unreliable motor to make his truck more fuel efficient. This move would allow his business to be both more economical and environmentally friendly.
