Catherine's story

Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 49-year-old Catherine from Torkpoi town Bo, a married mother of six children between the ages of 13 and 29. She has two additional dependents living with her.

Catherine runs a drug store selling blood syrup, malarial drugs and pain medication. She has been operating this business for the past five years, working eight hours per day, seven days per week. Catherine says that transportation costs are the main challenge to her business.
