A loan of $1,000 helped buy freezers.

Kadiatou's story

Mrs. Kadiatou is a 46-year-old woman, married and mother of five children. She lives with her husband and children in the Torakabougou neighborhood of Bougouni.

After she quit school in her fifth year of fundamental schooling (Malian school system), she decided to focus on income-generating activities and followed her sister in learning the business of buying and selling freezers. With over 15 years' experience, she now masters the activity in which she is highly appreciated and sought after.

This is her second loan with Soro Yiriwaso and the previous loan has been repaid. It is within the context of expanding her activities that she decided to request a new loan from Soro Yiriwaso to buy 3 freezers.

She resupplies in Lomé, and resells the freezers in her shop to a mixed customer base.

She anticipates monthly profits of 100,000 FCFA, with which she plans to expand her business activity.
