A loan of $1,600 helped a member to buy material for her sewing business.

Zvita Group's story

Greetings from Zimbabwe! This is 51-year-old Alice from Mutare. She is married with two children; one is attending school. Alice runs a manufacturing business, selling work suits, overalls, costumes, African attire and bedspreads that she has produced. The business has been in operation for four years. She says the main challenge she faces is the fact that most companies they supply want to buy on credit, which lessens her working capital.

Alice has requested a loan of $400 to purchase material for her sewing business. She says the extra income generated as a result of this loan will allow her to improve her family's general welfare. In the future, Alice plans to open a boutique shop in Watsomba, which is in Mutasa District..
