Mahabat's story

Mahabat is 33 years old, married, and has 4 children, the youngest of whom is a 1-year-old girl. As the main source of income for the family, Mahabat raises cattle and grows crops. She has a 0.5 hectare plot of land and rents more, where each year she plants beans and potatoes. Thanks to her hard work and the efforts of her family, today her farm includes 3 dairy cows and 1 horse. A monthly income of 6,000 Som is generated by the sale of milk and dairy products, and the sale of beans brings in around 120,000 Som annually. The money earned from the sale of produce allows her to purchase sheep and bulls at the end of the season. For the purpose of further developing her business, Mahabat has approached Bai Tushum & Partners for a loan of 70,000 Som to buy 2 bulls and 10 sheep. She plans to use the profit generated by this loan to increase her herd of livestock for fattening, as well as her earnings from the sale of milk, so that she can save up to pay for her children's education.
