A loan of $550 helped to buy medicines and pay doctor bills and medical tests.

José Rubén's story

José Rubén is a 32-year old young man who lives in the region of San Agustín, located 15km away from the municipality of El Sauce. He has two children attending school.

He has worked as a security guard in an institution for 7 years. He used to have a tough life living in the countryside as he comes from a very poor family where the only income came from grain harvests. However, he's now grateful for having a job and fixed income to take the bread home. He needs to cover 15km by bicycle to go and return from work everyday and works very well and with enthusiasm. Nicaragua has a high unemployment and many people wish to have a decent job.

He's now requesting a loan to buy medicines and pay doctor bills and medical tests, as his daughter has been ill and he can't afford to cover those expenses. He's asking for the help and support of Kiva lenders so that they will finance this loan through Ceprodel and help him heal his daughter.
