Magdalena's story

Magdalena, 36, is married to Marcelino, with whom she has three children. They live together in a home made of good-quality materials. For three years, Magdalena has had a grocery store in a recently finished part of her home. With the support of her three young children, she has been working with plenty of motivation, because she has noticed that her business has been growing and she plans to expand it as soon as possible. She believes that one of the factors which helps her to finish the day with a good profit is the friendly treatment and confidence that she extends to her clients. Thanks to this, she has managed to make herself very well-known and beloved in her town. Among the most popular products in her business are canned goods and vegetable stew, as well as daily goods such as rice, sugar, eggs, etc. This is her first loan with Kiva, so she is very happy to have been offered this financial support and she is committed to paying her fees on time. With the amount of 4,000 Peruvian soles, she will buy more goods such as rice, sugar, and canned goods, among other products.
