A loan of $600 helped to buy compost for his crops.

Ynocente's story

Ynocente, 48, is married and lives with his wife Mila, 45, and their only son Renzo, 16, in their own house. He is known as a simple and hardworking man. Ynocente grows potato, spinach and green peas. He works his land every morning to make it fertile and productive. He and his wife work hard because they know that by taking good care of their crops, they will receive better income and will be able to pay for their son’s education, something that is expensive.

What Ynocente likes most about his job is to protect his crops from plagues. He has been working with this activity for 32 years and believes that the most difficult thing is to transport his produce to Tarma’s marketplace, where he sells them. In a few days, he is planning to sow spinach and sell it at a good price at the marketplace. One of his goals is to have his own business so his wife can stay home and take care of his son. Ynocente will invest the 1500 soles [PEN] in buying compost to nurture his crops. He promises to pay the installments on time.
