Narciso's story

Narciso, 56 years old, is single and lives in a rented house with his mother Manuela, 95 years old, for whom he has been caring for 4 years. Narciso is a locksmith, and his business is very busy since there are not many businesses of this type in his area. His work starts very early, because he has to wait on his customers, who, knowing the good quality of his work, do not hesitate to recommend him to other people. He says that stoves are the most profitable for him. He sells them for 500 nuevos soles each. There are moments when he has a lot of work, and in order to deliver on time he contracts with people who help him with his work. What he likes most about his work is helping his customers, who always lose their keys. He has been doing this work for 20 years, and he thinks the most difficult thing is having to wait for customers all day in his shop. In the future, he hopes to continue working with the same effort, with the single goal of moving ahead in life.

Narciso will use the 2000 nuevos soles to buy supplies to make his doors such as steel, iron, and metal, among other items.
