A loan of $850 helped to purchase livestock.

Odina's story

Odina lives in a rural area just outside of a city. She's married and has five children. Two are school-aged. Her spouse works building and repairing homes and only works seasonally. Odina herself worked for many years on a dairy farm. During the recent, worldwide crisis, her wages were at first withheld, and then she was laid off all together. She was one of the farm's best workers, sometimes milking up to one hundred liters. It was difficult for her to part with her cow, she had bonded with them. It was, however, inevitable.

She has quite a bit of experience with livestock. After she was laid off, she began breeding cows on her land. At first it was difficult, but with time, it became easier. Her older children help her with the work. Her neighbor told her about Arvand and she came in for a loan. With the funds, she will buy livestock. She is very grateful to Arvand for the support and she plans on further collaboration.
