A loan of $1,500 helped to buy clothing, basic grains, oil, sugar, bathroom tissue and firewood.

Ana Amparo's story

Ana is 43 years old and has two children, ages 18 and 16. She has had a small grocery store in her home for six years now. She decided to start her business because there weren’t many small grocery stores in her neighborhood but there was a great need for them. Moreover, it was an opportunity to earn income for herself while at the same time being close to her children.

Ana hopes in the future to expand her business into a larger store where her clients can find everything for the home.

She is requesting this loan to buy men’s and women’s clothing, underwear, basic grains, oil, sugar, bathroom tissue and firewood. These products are what her customers request the most on a daily basis. One of her plans is to pay off this loan so as take out another loan to buy more groceries to keep her store well stocked.
