Teresa Emiliana's story

Teresa is 60 years old. She is single and has two children. She lives with her children and some family members in Chillanes canton in Bolívar province.

She belongs to the San Juan Bautista (St. John the Baptist) communal bank, created in the city of Tambanal, 40 minutes away from the cooperative's office. The economic activity is agriculture and raising animals.

Teresa is a farmer and grows corn, beans, and peas. She also raises cattle, pigs, and chickens. She is asking for the loan to buy a cow and a pig. With the help of the loan, she will be able to buy the animals. She will make the purchase in Chillanes.

Her dream is to improve her economic situation in order to have a better quality of life. The challenge she faces is the lack of economic resources to invest.

In her free time, she likes to go for walks and visit family.
