A loan of $1,050 helped to buy pigs and four metal silos.

Felipe's story

Felipe raises and sells cows, pigs, horses and grain crops. He lives with his wife, with whom he has four children aged 1, 6, 10 and 12. Three of them are in school and depend on him, while the other child is living in a foreign country.

He learned the business of farming from his parents, and he has been doing this work for 22 years. He is seeking a loan to invest in four metal silos for storing corn. He will use the rest for the purchase of pigs.

This investment will be very useful, since he will be able to store his corn and take it to the market when the price is better. A possible risk is that the corn could be suffer crop disease and become damaged.

Felipe's goal is to continue fighting to improve his family's standard of living, and to create a more profitable business. This will enable him to increase his income so that he can feed and educate his children.
