Nadzua's story

Nadzua lives in Mariakani area of Coast Province, Kenya. She is married and has five children. She owns a retail shop, a business which has been running for four years. In the business, she sells foodstuffs and household goods.

Nadzua learned about Milango through friends who invited her to the group. She joined with the aim of accessing credit to improve her business operations. Her main challenge is inflation.

Nadzua is applying for a loan of 10,650 Kenyan shillings to buy grocery stock, including maize, beans, rice and cooking fat. The extra income from the loan will be added to her savings to improve on the living standard of her family and to pay school fees for her children. She aspires to open a mini wholesale.
