A loan of $825 helped to pay for her daughter's university costs.

Anita's story

Anita is well-known in the El Sauce municipality for her charisma and her good heart. She is married, and she has two daughters.

She has been a teacher for over 20 years. This has allowed her to educate her daughters in the best way. One of them is studying for a university degree. The other is about to complete her high school education.

As a responsible mother, she has tried to give them the best in order for them to prepare professionally and so that they become good women who can get by in life when their parents are not there.

That is the reason she is requesting a loan from the Kiva lenders. She wants the loan to be able to pay for her daughter’s university expenses. She wants the loan to pay for fees and instructional materials so that these are not obstacles to her daughter getting her degree.

She is grateful to those with good hearts who support thousands of people, especially those with scarce resources, to fulfill their dreams. They are not able to do so with the low salaries they earn in Nicaragua.
