Bashir is a hardworking man, aged 50 years. He is happily married with five children. He grew up in a very humble family that had few assets and no ability to pay school fees to educate him. He opted to work in the nearby national park as a gardener to earn a living. Due to his hard work, he managed to save some money and bought a piece of land in Rwabarata, where he planted a banana plantation. This enabled him to get a living to the extent that he even managed to get a wife, who is also hardworking and developmental.

His farming project had been growing until last year, when it was affected by banana wilt and drought. He is requesting a loan of 3,000,000 Ugandan shillings to buy insecticides and manure to upgrade his banana plantation. He hopes with the insecticides, his quality of plantains will improve and so will his income.
