Mulungu's Group's story

Mulungu is a 39-year-old farmer and father of five. His wife is also a farmer, and they plant maize, cowpeas and cassava on their land.

Mulungu and his wife sometimes resort to making charcoal to sell in the markets when there has been a drought and their crops are not plentiful enough to feed their family. Mulungu is excited to work with KOMAZA because the trees will uplift his living standards, and KOMAZA provides short-term crops for him to grow as he waits for his trees to mature.

Mulungu would like to use the income from his KOMAZA trees to open a savings account, as well as his own lumber shop.
