A loan of $650 helped to buy wedding dresses and hair extensions.

Ami's story

Ms. Ami was born in 1983 in Sikasso and has one young daughter. She lives at her maternal grandparents' home in Sanoubougou II, one of the populous areas in the city of Sikasso (third administrative region of the Republic of Mali).
Ms. Ami did not have the opportunity to continue her education, so she quickly began training as a women's hairstylist about eleven years ago. With this experience in her field, she is highly sought-after by young women, especially for big ceremonies (marriages, baptisms, birthdays, etc.). In addition to her hairstylist work, Ami also buys and sells wedding dresses, hair extensions, hair gels, etc. Combating the insufficiency of her own resources to run this activity properly constitutes the goal and the reason for this loan request to Soro Yiriwaso to better satisfy the needs of increasingly growing clientele.
She has worked with Soro Yiriwaso for over three years and has benefited from four loans, which were all repaid very well. She is thus seeking this fifth loan to increase her working capital in order to be able to buy four wedding dresses and 15 packets of hair extensions of varying kinds in Bamako.
With this loan, she foresees realizing an average profit of 110,000 FCFA, which will allow her to contribute to the household expenses, pay the interest on her loan, and invest in her business.
