Kahindi's Group's story

Khindi is a 53 year-old farmer with nine children. His wife cares for their home. He faces many challenges in his farming from the frequent droughts, and also wishes he made enough from his farm to be able to pay wages for additional help.

Khindi is excited to join the KOMAZA microforestry program because he believes that "when the trees are tall they will make a good face for the environment."

He plans on using his income from the KOMAZA trees to pay school fees and to help buy food for his family.
