Kafedha's Group's story

Kafedha is a 36-year-old mother of seven. Her husband is also a farmer. She faces challenges in her farming business due to frequent droughts, a lack of capital and a farm too small to grow enough food for her family. She joined KOMAZA to change the environment around her farm and to help stop soil erosion. She hopes to use the income from her trees, funded through KOMAZA, to acquire more land for her farm. In her own words 'Miti Ni Mali' - trees are a resource.
