A loan of $975 helped a member to buy pig feeds for nourishing them.

Leap's Group's story

A resident from a rural village of the Ek Phnom district, Leap is a 39-year-old single woman. The main sources of her family’s income are from rice farming, growing beans and raising cows, which Leap has been doing for ten years. With her current business, she can earn about KHR 80,000 per day, and she can save about KHR 17,000 each day after daily expenses.

This is the fourth loan for Leap with Kiva’s partner, VisionFund. Leap successfully paid back the loans with VisionFund. Now she is leading her group of three to apply for a loan. As the leader, she will use her portion to buy pig feeds for nourishing them. She hopes to fatten her pigs so as to sell them for a good price to improve her standard of living.
