A loan of $475 helped to buy soft drinks and regional products.

Palmira's story

Palmira is 45 years old, divorced, and has 2 children she lives with in their own home. Palmira's work consists of daily sales of sodas, mineral water, and bottled juices of different brands and flavors. She has a small sales post installed in her home and she attends to her clients from there, the majority of whom are her neighbors. She has had this business for more than 2 years and it is going well.

At times she has complemented this business with the sale of some regional products like plantain, cassava or limes. The earnings provided by this work have been very good. Because of this she wants to do it again and permanently dedicate herself to both activities, which requires a certain amount of capital to be able to undertake this new phase. She is doing well in this business because her earnings have increased thanks to the clientele she has managed to amass with the passing years. She longs for her finances to improve even more as she wants to sell regional products again.

This is her third loan with Kiva. She thanks those people who have provided her with the financial support she requires to increase her working capital. In turn she commits to making her payments in a punctual manner. With the requested amount of 1200 Peruvian nuevos soles she will buy soft drinks wholesale, bottled juices and mineral water, in addition to various regional products like plantain and cassava.
