A loan of $1,025 helped to buy corn, bean and coffee seeds for her crops.

Nicolasa's story

Nicolasa is a happy, determined and enterprising woman who, despite her 57 years of age, doesn't stop dreaming big. She has a primary level education of grade 3, is married and has 5 children whom help her with activities such as cutting, washing and drying specifically corn and beans, as well they grow coffee. She learned this activity over 6 years ago instilled nowadays by her husband. Her products are marketed and sold in the neighbourhoods around her home with some neighbours and people who sell in small scale in local and other markets. This activity has given them results for a long time and is the only means of income that they have to sustain their family and their home, covering the basic necessities such as food, clothing, medicines, etc... which occurs daily. She is requesting help to be able to buy supplies since they need to improve and fortify their crops so that it is possible to obtain more income with the purchase of certified and clean seeds. Their dream for the future is to have a large coffee plantation and corn and bean crop which can continue to give them blessings, family support and that can be worked on for generation to generation by their children, grandchildren, and the next generations, so they can take advantage of her and her husband's efforts and dedication.
