Keo C., 40, lives in Sa Ang with his wife, Keo Srey Puch (pictured above), and two nieces. They work together to operate a laundry business and earn $6 US each day. They have seen their business grow and would like to expand to accommodate their increased customer base. They have asked for a loan of $1000 US both to purchase a new laundry machine and to renovate their home. A new laundry machine typically costs $600 US and they will use the leftover money to do some home repairs and improvements. They see this investment as an opportunity to increase their daily income and to improve their standard of living.
