Solidario Mujeres Triunfantes Group's story

"Mujeres Triunfantes" Communal Bank One member of this group is Sandra Maribel who tells us that for some years she has been running a shop out of her home. With the shop she supports both herself and her mother. Sandra sells items such as sweets, sugar, beans, rice, oil and water. In addition she sells chocolate and fruit ice creams, as well as fruit, vegetables and cakes, She also has a sewing machine for embroidering and making some clothing items, such as blouses or aprons, or for dressmaking when customers order them. Sandra is very happy with her work and so she is applying for this loan to continue stocking up her store with staple food products so as to move ahead. Sandra's dream is to continue studying at university. She says it might be difficult, but not impossible. Sandra works so as to continue supporting herself.
