A loan of $3,500 helped a member to pay for eucalyptus seedlings, fertilizer, training and plantation maintenance support.

Glarice's Group's story

Glarice is a twenty-five-year-old mother of seven children and a widow. She supports her family through maize farming, though a lack of capital for fertilizer and pesticides is a detriment to her agricultural business.

Glarice says she is joining the KOMAZA micro-forestry program "because KOMAZA is doing development in our village and I want to be a part of it." With the profits from her tree farm, Glarice wants to educate her children and build a home with electricity and running water for her family.

In this group: Glarice, Mose, Humprey, Josephine, Chari, Japhet, Temoh
