Ma. Theresa's story

This is Ma. Theresa, 44, resident of Intramuros, Philippines. She is married to Romeo, her business partner and a father of her children. She, together with her husband, manages their household while operating the business. At this time, she is working hard to continually provide income for her everyday expenses. Ma. Theresa operates a food stall. She sells arroz caldo (Chinese congee) and barbecued meat. Her regular customers are her neighbors and the local community. She earns a minimum of PHP 500 in sales every day. To help her continue operations of her business, she is requesting a PHP 10, 000 loan. She will be utilizing the loan to buy more quantities of products like pork, rice, condiments and seasonings. Ma. Theresa hopes to grow her business in the coming years. She meets up with her co-fellowship members to share stories of her life and business every week and where he can also draw strength and inspiration from the Word of God. * All CCT community partners / clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital, and pay Micro Finance loans.
