A loan of $400 helped to buy clothing.

Milka's story

Milka, 25, is divorced from the father of her two children, with whom she lives in her own house made of high-quality materials.

Milka makes a living selling clothing for women, men, and children. She travels periodically to the city of Lima to buy her merchandise, which sells later at home and on foot to her neighbors and friends. She gives them very good service and manages to be recommended to other people who become her regular customers. She has had this business for seven years and she does it alone.

She likes her business because she has managed to sell large quantities monthly and it has generated good income. Also, she has become well known in her town and she plans to open a clothing store so she doesn't have to walk around a lot looking for customers.

This is her third loan with Kiva. She's grateful for the financial help so she can firm up her plans.

Currently she's requesting 1000 soles [PEN] to buy clothing at lower prices so she can have more profit in her job.
