Flor's story

Flor, who is 29, is married to Marcos, who is a worker and the father of her four children. They live together in a house they own, which is built with quality materials. Flor works selling assorted soft drinks, which she keeps frozen until she reaches her customers. That is why she has a space set up at home, where she cordially sees to her customers. She knows that a friendly service will earn her their patronage. She started her business over six years ago and, considering the earnings it provided, she decided to buy more merchandise and was able to increase her sales. She runs her business with her husband's help.

Before starting her business, she says she didn't have financial problems, but did have a desire to have a job to keep her busy, as well as her own income. Therefore she now has plans to keeps her business going and increase her merchandise.

This is her third loan through Kiva and she appreciates the financial support she is being offered in order to advance her plans for the future. This time she is requesting 1,000 soles, which she will use to buy tables, chairs, and other furniture for her customers to be more comfortable.
