A loan of $225 helped to buy bundles of mixed clothing and girls' sandals.

Brígida Manuela's story

Brígida lives in the city of Masaya, a very colorful city with a lot of traditions and culture. Brïgida is 32 years old, married, and sells goods for a living. Her nuclear family consists of her husband and two children.

Brígida has owned her own business for 7 years. She sells used clothing and shoes as an itinerant vendor. Brígida works every day, traveling to the markets in Jinotepe and Carazo to sell her goods. She started the business with her own capital which she received as severance pay from her previous job in a free-trade zone. She used the money to buy her first bundle of clothing and shoes through which she gained customers. She sells her goods for cash and makes her purchases in Managua.

As a woman, Brígida knows the value of being independent and contributing towards her household expenses so that her family can enjoy better living conditions. She knows that she can't achieve this unless she works hard for what she wants.

Brígida currently needs to invest some more in her business, buying mixed bundles of clothing and girls' sandals. She needs to re-stock her business.

Brígida came to Ceprodel to request a loan which will help her to acquire the products that people are asking her for.
